So my BMS on my S5 is damaged and EcoReco support is completely unresponsive. The pack voltage is good (38v) but the BMS output was much lower (28v).

I purchased and installed a new BMS and the scooter now functions... but turns off after about 5 seconds. The original BMS communicated with the throttle through I2C for I am guessing voltage and charge cycles. I am having difficulty finding a replacement or finding a way to disable this feature. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I see a few options for me. Somehow get an original BMS, 3rd party bms with i2c, or replace the throttle with one that doesn't need i2c.

Same issue with my M5. Built a new battery to replace the failed one using an standard BMS without a i2c port.

Did you come to a resolution?

I’m either going to pull the motor controller and replace it with a cheap one or try and do component discovery on the old BMS to see if I can find some data sheets on the chips to reverse engineer the i2c signal.
