Can I use one battery with two controllers

I just purchased a dual motor scooter.

I’m wondering if I can swap out the battery I need a 21700 battery to make it fit in my compartment about 35ah.

The battery supplier I have used in the past. Only has batteries with single charging ports and single xt60 outputs to controllers. I have two controllers and motors and need a battery that has two xt60 outputs. Can I just buy a splitter? Like the one below or will this effect the voltage it seems to be advertised to connect batteries in Parallel but doesn’t reference the reverse. Also what gauge wire should it be to run two 60v controllers at 25 amps.

And is there risk to losing some functionality of the scooter such as being able to turn off one motor and such?

If the combined amperage of both your controllers is less than the maximum rating of your battery, then you can connect both controllers separately to the battery with no problems. If your controllers together exceed the battery's amp rating, then you risk damaging the battery or tripping its overcurrent protection if it has that feature.

Thank you. Just a clarification. The battery I want to install is 50 amp continous and 90 amp peak. So two 25 amp controllers should be fine I think. My issue is your saying connect them separately the battery doesn’t come with two xt60 outputs only a single xt60 plug so I need to connect the two controllers with a splitter in between and I don’t remember my old science courses if I do this this will I be changing voltage or amperage because I’m using a splitter on the xt60 output port. Thanks again.
