Tearing my shed apart looking for baby stuff (another one on the way) and I found 2 sets of wheels. XT all terrain wheels and a set of 100mm slicks. Before I knew it I had gathered up a deck, some randall 180's, bearings, and a wheel pulley.

It took some time to mount a mount bracket to the randall because I made my mounts to fit Caliber trucks, but with a little filing it actually turned out to fit more solid.

I'm going to need to order a few things, but it should be riverbed bound in a couple of weeks.

Here's the newest iteration of the Ghetto4Bot:

I mounted a wheel pulley today but I'm thinking I may want more teeth..(used a 32) What are you going to use?
I just want to jib around with this board so I'm not looking to break any speed records.
I'm using:
2x6s, tacon bigfoot 160, probably going to order another mamba monster2

I actually have an ancient powell peralta longboard with a set of these on it. While preparing to build my eboard I pulled it out of storage and checked it out, and the wheels look like they could have something mounted easily enough. My recollection of them is they are heavy and slow to get rolling, but pretty unstoppable once they are.

I remember how sluggish they felt pushing as well, unless i was on a downhill dirt trail. What I hope though is that it wont be noticeable with a few horsepower.

Here's mine. These pulleys weren't really made for them it was made for the ABEC 11 wheels but the lines almost line up perfectly, luckily.

Is that 5mm htd? If mine feels gutless can I buy one of those from you? What are you running on your motor pulley? 18?

The XT wheelz also made a smooth one:

E-glide sells a pulley for the smooth one. They call it Goodyear Drive Gear:

I can lend you mine to see if it fits. Its 5m htd.

I'd like the original gear too but it looks like it's being held on by a bearing. Those I'm pretty sure won't fit on longboard trucks.

psychotiller - yeah, they are 5mm htd - pm me if you still want.

Hrmm.. Probably won't try it in a few days but I'm curious to see how they ride. They are some pretty heavy wheels though.

Pediglide, thanks! We'll have to check that out. I just ordered those 6"wheels too. There is definitely going to be a riverbed board very soon.

Torque, they are pretty lumpy wheels but I have to say this board doesn't feel very heavy with them on it.

Anyone know anything about these?:

Those are huge! The only experience I have with tires that size was on an MBS Blade I had. Those were 9" though...Heavy. Turned out to just be overkill. Used to race the mountainboards and most people stuck with 8" because the swing weight on the boards was so heavy with the bigger tires/wheels. I wonder what those each weigh?

Oh snap! Hard to tell from the website. I'm getting so impatient looking for a solution for pneumatic tires! Thinking about getting 97mm flywheels in the meantime, which should solve the problem of rough roads and a need for increased speed

I ordered 4 of these yesterday to check out. Seemed like a good deal.

Here's a pic of the XT board right now while it waits for an ESC and Batteries:

Looks great! Love the shape of the deck and the low profile of all the guts. Where did you get the wheel adapter for those casters?

Adapter? Nothing yet. I'm going to make something.

Wow! Look at the ridiculous weights of all of these e-glide boards...I never realized they were that heavy. (and insanely over-priced too!)

When I mounted my motor bracket to this randall 180 I set the angle to hopefully work with a drop-through.
I have a ton of clearance under the bracket with the larger wheels and perfect clearance between the deck and the motor bracket. As far as wheel bite goes? Seems pretty close but I loosened the trucks all the way and pushed around on it today without an issue. I'm stoked on this build!

Best video of an electric board I've seen. Smooth n quiet. Did u use the brakes at all?
It's got its own spot in the garage...it deserves more room
I haven't read the thread yet.

And the mounts are awesome I think..other than the extra pulley

Thanks. I dont think I used the brakes at all except for when I came back up my driveway.
