Current & Coming Soon List of Retail Mini E-Kick Scooters, ESkateboards and related small vehicles
(all under 100lbs, except the AWD 54mph BoxxScooter but thought it was unique...)

Note: last update 6/14/16

*This list is arranged from highest to lowest price (and if a maker sells various different priced models then goes by lowest price model in range), main comparison specs, demo vids, etc - prices are at time of writing, in USD$ and from publicly available sources/websites

Prices don't include shipping unless otherwise stated (note: sometimes companies under price their products and make it up by overcharging on shipping)

Regarding specs, although there are different schools of thought on preferred electronics, I think it's worth noting the different technologies used in each product. Clearly all the technologies have their own pluses and minuses and some so called "old school" technologies continue to be stalwarts as they are robust, cheap and easy to find. These technologies include brushed motors, brushless motors and RC (remote control airplane/car etc) motors which are much smaller and lighter weight and generally brushless nowadays, but each of the three use different/unique controllers that are generally not interchangeable, say, between brushed or brushless for example. Another consideration is hub motor (where the motor is built into the actual wheel hub) vs chain vs belt vs. direct drive. Lastly, is battery technology - SLA (sealed lead acid like on golf carts or most non electric car batteries) which are generally heavier and last fewer cycles and output less power vs Lithium (variety of lithium types). I will be updating all of these specs on the list below on separately linked pages on this forum so you can read more in depth about each and see videos and share your thoughts with others and riding experiences.

NOTE regarding carry-on/checked bagged on commercial airplanes - (view comments in this thread dated Wed Jun 17, 2015 10:55 pm): No vehicles with lithium batteries totally over 100wh are allowed on aircraft for carry-ons or checked baggage currently... so basically nothing useful that can go more than a few hundred yards and have to either ship battery packs separately through a standard mail carrier or see if the vehicle classifies as a mobility device (for seniors, disabled etc) and can be given a pass

I'm going to start selling mine in November for $500. My goal is to make a low cost board that is easy to ride , lightweight and has replacement/redesigned parts that people can 3d print on their own as I make improvements. https://plus.google.com/+Bubblegumboards1/posts I'm currently working on the website and perfecting a production assembly line to lower cost. I plan to do a launching a KickStarter on October 10 to raise enough funds to have the plastic parts injection molded.

I just mapped a short ride before it got dark to show speed and whatnot http://www.strava.com/activities/190377430

I've been doing a ton of tests with the 4 boards I have right now and people seem to like them.

Stats right now
20mph
15 mile range
10 lbs weight
Easy charger via cheap laptop charger
7c 2 parallel lifep04 battery 8000mah
on/off switch or key - user choice
Regen braking
Wireless Wii remote or custom remote - user choice
Fully programmable ESC via USB
LED voltage meter
customizable color configurator to choose board, wheel and part colors.

Apologies James, if the pricing was incorrect - I was going off the estimates on Gizmag and Kickstarter but I realize these are old and as you haven't released an exact preorder date or price these are only estimates...big fan here by the way
Please advise and I'd be glad to update

Just a suggestion. As the list is pretty long, would it be useful to list them within the group by price? Many are pretty expensive and finding the affordable ones is a bit difficult.

Yea, actually I have if you notice from the top, I've been (very slowly) working on updating the list by price (high to low from top to bottom within each group) but one difficulty is that some makers have a few models that range in price so I'm trying to incorporate this as well by grouping from their lowest price model, and those without prices or unlisted prices I'm putting at the bottom of each list.

Still adding new or missed models as well as adding related vids/review links
Thx

I would add LEIF Tech's skateboard. They use two powered wheels in the center of the board, providing snowboard-like maneuvering. They say they are coming out mid-late 2015. http://www.leiftech.com/

Whoa! Hey thanks, now I really have to come up with something. :D

Do you have plans still to release a product?
It looks a little similar (in a good way) to a local SF bay area guy Josh's "Gnarboard" but he only made a dozen or so and it was too expensive to produce/sell retailing at over $3,000 per unit but is a cool product: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COL0xpZw6Sc)
- but with dual motors yours seems powerful too and fairly simple to produce and hopefully not too expensive...

Anyone know of any replacement motors, aftermarket for currie/schwinn scooters
