mystery China hub motor "lofty ambition"

Funny, i follow billy on facebook and have been seeing this. sk8 norcal we must know each other there too.. ?

the windings could look a little better and more urethane needed on the wheel.

I've encouraged billy to sign up here and also register a username a few weeks back. I wanted him to seek this place out for the VESC progression.

it's interesting to see the progress.

the other thread you're probably referring to is the following: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=68217&start=150

The factory who makes/sells the hub motors is: Shenzhen Lofty Ambition Technology Co., Ltd.

heres a video of Jerry Cao who works at Lofty Ambition testing the hub motor.

Funny.. How he's using Flier ESCs on one of his posts

They look like they might be the same hub motors onloop was testing also. Maybe an upgraded version. You can see from the previous post he made.

The new ones are the upgraded version.

This actually looks like Hummina and Addicted2climbing design with the Surf-Rodz axles.

that's funny, he dumped the "Backfire" boards.

With all the hassles of late delivery and major quality issues with the Backfire Falcon, we've decided to go another route and develop our own brand of E-skates.

Here's some early images of a similar dual drive in-wheel hub motor we're working on with the development team. This is state of the art engineering and is far superior to basic belt drive boards.

The board will feature dual in-wheel hub motors. It is water and sand proof and an output of 1500 Watts. Top speed is estimated at 22 - 26 mph and a range of 18-22 miles depending on surface, elevation,
rider weight etc.

I've found one more new Backfire board that has some really sick specs !!

Guys look at the specs !! To be honest it looks too good to be true. Not only it has dual hub motor - but look at the range. 20-30km of range !! Speed is also nice.
The board has some weight to it so actually it seems like they have added some
powerful battery there.

Motor power: 1500W*2
Max speed: 20-30km/h
Power: 1001-2000w
Voltage: >60v
Charging Time: 3-4hours
Range Per Charge: 20-30Km/h
Tire Size: 1050*240*140mm
Battery: 8000AH Lithium Battery
Net weight: 12kg

Some more detailed specs:

Motors: 2 integral hub motors (built into the wheel), soon available also with one wheel with an integrated motor
Hub Motor Specifications: Brushless direct current, 24 V and 750 W each, 85% efficiency
No load speed and current: 2620 rpm (revolutions per minute), 500mA
Top Speed: 45 km/h (28 mph) or 35 km/h (21 mph)
Forward and Backward driving: Backwards is even slightly more powerful
Battery Range: more than 20 km/12 miles, Lithium-Ion Battery (LiFePo4 )
Battery Charging Time: three hours, more than 500 times rechargeable
Regenerative Braking System (RBS): The battery will be charged while braking
Maximum user weight: 120-130 kg (264 lb to 286 lb)
Waterproof and sand protected: sealed design prevents sand or water entering in the motors or other parts
Deck Hardness: Stiff – designed for speed and stability
Deck Size: 1050mm*240mm*21mm
Deck Material: 6 layers of bamboo, 2 layers of fiber glass, 1 layer of sandpaper
Truck size: Custom design trucks, 200mm
Wheels: high performance PU, 78a, 83mm*51mm
Bearings: Ceramic balls in stainless steel casing
Remote controller: 2.4G communication system, 2 standard AA batteries

Has anyone tried it ? Or knows where to get it in the US ?

Wouldn't it be better if you asked where to get it in Poland? (that's where what you put in your profile says you are)

I am moving to the US that's why I ask.

Anyway . Guys can you tell me something more about this battery : Battery: 8000AH Lithium Battery ? Do you think is it really possible to get 20-30km of range as they claim ?

The range seems realistic for a 60V 8Ah battery.
I get approx 25 km on flat terrain from a 50V 5.2Ah battery with a single motor.

I have found two videos of this board. It seems like the motor is water proof. Which would be nice.

also one more from pre production phase showing sand proof wheels:

another one:

It says 24 volts for the motor so that and 8000mah would get you maybe ten miles.

Everything is probably exaggerated. Still looks nice though. like to see it with all the covering off. 8ah and the controller are I the little box or the other container mounted on the hanger?

Most brushless motors are waterproof or can be made so by insulating the motor leads. Inside the motor the wire is insulated.
