Hi, Ive recently received my VESC and proceeded to wire it up with a custom nunchuck and a nrf24l01 receiver

Unfortunately the throttle seems to cut out when I try to accelerate fast making me nearly lose my balance, this especially happens at higher speeds

Does anyone know what might cause the issue? Moving the NRF receiver further away from the VESC has improved the situation but it's already 20cm away from it. I also added a capacitor to the NRF receiver

I did not have this problem using a PPM receiver

Are you using a receiver with PA such as this one?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1PCS-NRF24L01-PA-LNA-SMA-Antenna-Wireless-Transceiver-communication-module-2-4G-/221920817637?hash=item33ab82f1e5:g:~D0AAOSw5VFWKapJ

They have been working perfectly for me, but the receivers without the amplifier and just the PCB antenna haven't been working that well for some reason.

Thank you for your reply! I am indeed using the pcb antenna version, can't really use the PA one due to space constraints.. Any idea what i can try?

Regards

The best thing I can suggest is to try to make some space. You can take the antenna apart or use a smaller antenna. You can also remove the sma connector from the PCB and solder a small antenna cable with a smaller 2.4ghz antenna directly to the pcb.

Alright, thank you for your help
I've ordered the PA version of the RX/TX. I'll probably remove the antenna wire from the rubber enclosure and stuff it in my board somehow
