This site seemingly has no commercial interests while the builders site is definitely used by enertion to promote. Jason may say he's gone, been 2 days I think...

onloop is cool, today, maybe tomorrow he might delete some posts which he doesn't like, or maybe he will never ever do that...
I also like the fact that the other forum is better organized and nicer to look at....
But for me the aforementioned point is enough for me to don't use the other forum.

Its not the amount of threads its the quality of them...

There are people here in all the other categories that know so much and over there they are arguing about..something. Mostly arguing against the commercialism that comes with the site being owned by enertion. I'm there for that.
Hahaha, I feel those quotes sum it up nicely. Personally, I feel this site, being larger and covering a much broader spectrum, has about 100 times more knowledge. At a guess I would say about 90% of the users there are on these forums, while only 1% of these forums are on his. On this forum we have experts from all disciplines that keep an eye out and chime in. On our home turf, look at the VESC and how that has exploded in the bike section as well. The batteries are all the same, regardless of the vehicle. Many of the motors also cross over between all disciplines.
Some people here complain as to why E boards and E skates are grouped together, claiming boards are big enough for their own forum. I however feel the skates are by far the tag along. If the boards had their own section, what would happen to skates? How many of us boarders are interested in seeing where venarians skate's go in future? Those motors could be good. Both types are after a similar weight and power, so make sense to be included together.
To be sure, I prefer this forum. I feel enertions site is oriented around enertion products. All the images of "how it's done" are enertion products, down to the fact that he is labelled a "leader" while everyone else is nothing to an "elitist prick". His forum looks far more graphically pleasing though. I feel there are many people on both forums that know as much or more than he does, who also post regularly, but will never get the nomination as 'leader'. And I totally get it, you gotta hustle, push and promote your products to be successful. Enertion is by no means negative to the scene, I just don't like his style.
*Disclaimer* As a Designer/Machinist/Craftsman/Entrepreneur I feel there are many better value products on the market than enertion offers. I can get custom parts machined and anodised for cheaper than enertions, while this in any main stream culture would cause a company to go broke. He is cashing in on the unique-ness of Eboards. Thus, I feel his products are inferior to what can be readily made by the every day person, or purchased for far cheaper. Look at his "r-spec" motors, are they any different to HK's motors that are half the price? Maybe a different axle? sticker? Enertion pumps money in to his products to get them available before others, jacks up the price and markets extremely well to create the illusion of a premium product. Personally I would liken him to Donald Trump - markets very well, but full of hot air. In his credit though, he is un-apologetically forward with his products.
