Now this has become scary. Considering the costs I estimate when I compare with my own project, I get that Mellow is not simply trying to fork profit, a lot is going in design and then there are workers who need salary.

How the hell can they do this kind of price with copies? What if they try and copy mine, I will face same difficulties  :?

Freaking scary!

Still I wonder how it performs, Li-Poly is fishy. Hoverboards have badly performed thanks to bad batteries and ESC.

I assume these motors are made in China. If you look at Hummina's post with the motors he got made in China and those same motors being offered to Alien Power Systems. I wouldn't expect China to play nicely. From the look of it, if "we", being you or I or Hummina, as a creator decide to work with any company in China to design a motor. Said company has every right to sell the motor's not only to the creator, but to everyone one else who is will to pay a price because they are making it. I will assume you know how some Chinese companies disregard peoples' design and try to make "that" same product fast and much cheaper in hopes of staying ahead of the competition.

From a cultural perspective, China does not play on the same level as the United States.

they say it weights 3,2kg. thats 900g less than the B**ster (lets not post that name too often)
It would be interesting to get one and see how both perform.

@ Vanarian
its so cheap, because they use the cheapest parts possible. then they are a factory and don´t consider the mould cost.
another obstacle in China are the local competitors. they all sell similar stuff cheap. so the money they make is with selling high numbers.

http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/fair-price-quality-electric-longboard/updates/?

how cheesy is that?
they pretend thats their board???

"..Our electric longboard is in the upper class of the electric board market, its ideal for urban rural environments, optimal for concrete and tarmac however can also handle off road surfaces effectively. It is both water and dust proof although it is advised to not ride the board in heavy rain for safety concerns..."

I would be careful with that claim. they simply sell chinese stuff from a factory.
hopefully they tested that really careful.

These guys have no f*kin limits

I guess I'll have to carefully select which parts I'll product where, would save me time before the fight begins.

They don't have a right to sell it to others if u give them ur design but getting them to stop legally is a pain and from what I hear has to be done locally. Luckily the manu that makes motors for me has changed their approach and won't sell to anyone but me...but I did offer them that option if they give me a dollar for each sold. Doing that motivates them to keep the design private and then being the sole maker and they like that. Even if they "steal" ur design it's not the worst thing.

2 backers in 49 days...
and some discussions on Instagramm.
I will get a board next week from the supplier. they claim its better than the one from Onan.
