Hey everyone. So I am doing a bit of re-wireing on my electric skateboard and I was wandering what AWG rating wire i should use? (8AGW, 10AWG, 12AWG, 14AWG, 16AWG, 19AWG, 20AWG)? Its connecting a power switch to the battery and the battery to BMS

Depends on how much current your battery can provide,..but most here use 10G

10awg, 12awg is the typical.

yup, I use 10 or 12 between the battery/bms/relay/esc, 16-ish for battery charge, and 20 ish for relay switch, voltage test, light, etc.

Work out the max amps it could possibly draw, and use corresponding wires.

for 6s setup longboard I'm using 14-16 awg for the motor wires (depend how long are they )
and for the controller -battery line 12 awg
