As always many thanks for your time and help.

Just found this:

I've checked here, the pulse number that i said, i'ts the motor poles*3, for a 14 pole motor that gives 42 pulses per rotation. As i understand, that's the number of sequencial phase activation to complete a full rotation.
For the ERPM, i got RPM = ERPM*2/ Motor_Poles

So would I be right in saying times the rpm by 3 for a 14 pole motor?

Okay...can I start again please. On the video by http://vesc.net.au/

https://youtu.be/4XHODLiXaJY?t=213 he mentions that if you want to set the rpm limits of your motor you should times by 7 if you have 24 pole motor and times by 14 if you have a 28 pole motor. but there is no mention what to do if yu have the common 14 pole motor.

I have a 14 pole motor and I would like to know what I times the rpm by.

Can anyone shed any light please?

Cheers.
