Gravity trike is ok, but i need motor :)
I bought an 36V 250W motor in 24” wheel.
Test fit:

Two problem:
- 24” wheel in 20” fork
- 135mm wide, rear wheel, in 100mm fork.

Need some alu plate and spacer:

The final shape:

And install with pegs:

36V 250W hub with 48V 1000W controller and 12s 8Ah multistar lipos.

That’s all :)

Nice torque plate/foot peg work. The seat gives it a cool 60's retro look. 8)

Thanks! Yes, yes, future-retro! :)

Update1:

The orange PVC tube cracked, after some race.
Now i put an PE tube over the previous PVC tube.

Maybe it will work longer.

I noticed in the video your feet were never on the foot pegs... Why is this?

Hi!

Because big first wheel rotation needed for drifting, and my feet interfere with tyre :)

I see lot of drift trike video, this is not problem.

I use the pegs in long line travel.

Cool build!
Maybe footrests from the frame would be a good idea:

Thanks!

(But i'm happy with pegs :) )

Looks fun, well done :) I've been considering making one myself.

How is the 250w motor - is it powerful enough to be fun?

Hi Benj!

Yes yes, lot of fun! Go for it! :)

Yes, the 36V 250W hub strong enough.... from 12s(cca 48V) and with 1000W controller(1280W peak) :) :) :)

Just a little fail video. This is an hard game :) :) :)

Dude, that looks really fun. Even the fail looked fun! Probably safer and cheaper than learning to drift cars :D

Haha that looks awesome. I gotta try this setup.

Woooow, cool trike, coool ride! :)

been thinking of doing a drift trike for a while.
I have a 10 and 8 year old who would love it
I don't have the equipment to learn how to weld so i would have to get a ready made trike frame.
found a razor dxt for around $100 on craigslist/ebay
if I go with a 48v 1000 watt motor I am looking at $250-350 for a conversion kit
48 v 10 ah battery 2-300$

or I could just go for a ready made chinese drift trike. for between $550-600

https://youtu.be/0YOof9y7mTI

at the end of day all the components to build my trike would have been affordable chinese components.

While I would like to build a trike it seems like I would be hard press to do it for less than a ready made product.

looking for advise or experience with the chinese ready made trikes.
