Hi i am building my own first Electric Longboard.

I plan on using theese item.

LG 2500mah 18650 H4 battery x50
BMS 60A - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/6s-24v-Li-ion-Lithium-Cell-60A-18650-Battery-Protection-BMS-PCM-Board-with-Balance/32721722576.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.GqGNjJ&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10065_10151_10068_10136_10137_10157_10060_10138_10155_10062_10156_10154_10056_10055_10054_10059_10099_10103_10102_10096_10052_10053_10142_10107_10050_10051_10171_5130012_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_5140011_10114_10181_10037_10182_10032_10078_10079_10077_10073_10070_10123,searchweb201603_4,ppcSwitch_5&btsid=d5a3c238-44b0-40d5-8e4e-3cae9aec1bea&algo_expid=41b8a155-98b1-4231-a870-fbd4e70e8d45-0&algo_pvid=41b8a155-98b1-4231-a870-fbd4e70e8d45

Motor 90A 380Kv. - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/ntm-prop-drive-50-60-series-380kv-2665w-1.html

100A ESC - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-100a-esc-4a-ubec.html

My question is. How can i make up the wiring? I plan on making the longboard with 6S battery pack with 8x 2500mah in each cell. So a total of 20.000 mah and 22.2V

So in 18650 batteries, it is 48 Batteries in 6X8 packs.

I plan on attaching them to the BMS and use it for ballance charging. I have bought a 24V 5A charger.

My question is how i can get low voltage protection (is it in the ESC?) and what about other prepocations like short circuit protection?

I would also like to know how i can use a standard 3-pos switch to change between charging and using the board without runing max 100A trough more than from the battery to ESC to motor. So i dont melt the 3-pos bottom. or other thigs

With that high motor kv, you're going to pulling some serious amps. I don't think that little motor can handle 90A of continuous draw. It seems like you're shooting to 60A max, since your BMS is 60A max. I think you're going to draw more than 60A with that motor. Your ESC will NOT handle 60A. It will fry at 1/2 that.

I think you need to do some more research, but usually the BMS will handle LVC. For short circuits, I put at least a breaker on your power wire. As I understand it, the BMS will handle switching between charging and powering the motor.

Wiring is a broad subject. But generally, you will wire your battery mains and balance wires into the BMS, which outputs the mains to ESC, which outputs its 3 phase wires to the motor.

You then have your RF receiver, which needs 5V power from the ESC's SBEC, and outputs a throttle signal which feeds into your ESC.

Hi again. What is wrong with a Hobbyking ESC? and where could i get ESC to HV so i can use more than 6S and therefor lower Amps?

And why do you think a 100A esc wont hold up to 50A? That seems wrong

That bms has lvc hvc protection. Esc usually has lvc too so Nothing to worry about. About the esc...
They are kind of telling you to go for a vesc or waste your time and money on several random esc that will get fried very quick.
hence the recommendation of not to buy that gorgeous piece of garbage.
Seems you are not too familiar with the battery building art so I'd go for an end-user solution or sony konion cells. They tend to self balance so no need for bms. You get lvc from vesc and hvc from charger.
In case you don't want to buy the vesc the fvt has as much lovers as haters. Worth gambling.

many people fried it really quick. Others reported nice results. Your choice.

Hmm okay. I dont understand why people says it will get fried, hobbyking recommended the 100A esc to me for a DIY electric skateboard project. Do you think the one you sent is better for the prop drive motor? its almost same price so i dont mind, i just dont know the brand.

What about this. Does this look better?

I just talked to hobbyking. And they only recommended me this ESC, https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-trackstar-1-5th-scale-sensorless-200amp-8s-opto-car-esc.html its really expensive. But they said it was because it was the only one with braking that used the motor as a generator, so it would not make the motor smoke when braking/reversing

My other Option is to make a 10S and have the following setup.

VESC Max 50A - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Maytech-Benjamin-Vedder-Electronic-Speed-controller-VESC-for-electric-longboard-DIY-skateboard/32712595711.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.276.U2oyH8

60A BMS - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10S-60A-version-D-lipo-lithium-Polymer-BMS-PCM-PCB-battery-protection-board-for-10-Packs/32732403488.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.269.U2oyH8

Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 6354-260kv - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-6354-260kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html

My Question is then. Can i use the motor even though it is rated at max 70A. Can it work with a 50A Vesc?
