The interesting thing is that his pedals are connected to a generator arrangement and not directly to the wheels. - this could probably mean he can recharge in mid-air
 
I think his steering head angle is likely a little too vertical for the intended use of that recumbant. How in the world is he going to safely launch and land with twitchy handling when having to work the throttle, brakes, and riser lines for the PPG part? Regardless I am eager to see his next vids!!
 
That is a typical head angle for an upright bike, which is the same head angle typically used on short wheelbase recumbents . It is not the least twitch.

Warren, your one example with suspension appears to me to have less travel and a slacker angle with more rake than his!

Maybe for the street it would be fine, but who is going to drag their wing down pavement on purpose?
A typical launch zone is a pasture or beach. I sure hope the front wheel doesn't tuck on compressing and landing over rough terrain when all he is using is his knees to hold the forks straight. A steering damper for dirtbike triple trees could go a long way towards piece of mind here. Take a look at the dynamics at 1:58 when he compresses it.

It is a big step up from his first machine and you can tell some serious time was spent fabricating that thing. Can't wait to see it fly once he gets a prop rigged! :mrgreen:
 
Ok I haven't been able to stop thinking about electric PPG vehicles ever since I saw the Skyrider One. I can't wait for Skyrider Two! I think it would work really well if you mounted the PPG stuff to a solid electric trike. If your frame is super light, you could technically run the motor (astro 3220?) off of 2 Tesla modules in series integrated in the frame (44.8v 196ah), that way, you would have enough power for a few hours in the air, or about 300 miles on the ground lol. A delta trike would make for an easier takeoff/land, but a tadpole trike would be way secksier. Call it the 'traffic control' vehicle. Add a solar fairing and it's basically a space kayak at that point.
