I wonder why they named it Equator, of all things.

I'd love to look at those student projects, if only one dang page would open.

I think the name Equator is a homage to the original Equator sea plane from the 60's and early 70's.
I don't know much about the project except what I've been told, it will be a new take on the rotax engined Icon A5 category. Equator not being foldable so hopefully if it sees production it might be a cheaper air craft the Icon A5.
