Halve the range, double the seats, give it a side door and make the batteries swappable, and we could have something really useful for the sport of skydiving.

These new battery "gigafactories" are really bringing the price of batteries down.

One article said $190 per kilowatthour for Tesla batteries. That makes the 130 kilowatthour battery of the Sun Flyer 4 a theoretical $25,000 or so. Not too bad compared to the price of gas. Sun Flyer claims a price of about $16 per hour to fly which I could believe.

Maybe sometime, but not yet !
Best estimate would be the latest known price for Teslas Powerbank 2 modules, which was $350,000 per MWh..(for bulk orders)
...which would make that 130 kWh pack more like $45,000. ,!
