50 HP electric outboard

What happened to the thread about the guy making an electric outboard conversion using a 50 HP bldc? I think I had 3 or 4 posts there. And now no sign of it.

Looks like the thread was deleted or moved. I found a cached version.

Thanks. User name was: smasterson2. Google that and you find a good looking Bayliner inboard conversion he did. There he used HPEVS induction drives. I was curious to see how that Chinese equipment was going to hold up. Oh well.

according to this
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=50679
he last visited yesterday.

My guess is he decided to commercialize it and asked someone to remove his threads.

If this is the case, I don't think this should be allowed. Once you post an idea out there it's out there and should be kept intact--that's why we post here in the forum. You don't get to decide to unpost things completely--it's why we instituted "post history" so that when grumpy members wholesale delete their useful stuff you can still go back and find it in the history link, and restore it.

Thanks amber,

I agree. Also I feel it is unfair or at least rude for someone to delete posts or replies which I have done, unless those were offensive.
