I am in the process of designing a small catamaran for use on mellow rivers and lakes. Should come in at <300lbs with me, 350 watts of flexible solar, about 3kw lithium batteries, and the boat, etc. I'm very skinny...

Problem is finding an efficient but reasonably priced and lightweight motor. I'd like to get at least 7mph if not 8. The Torqeedo 1103 fits the bill as far as speed and power but is expensive and it seems that it won't integrate with custom batteries. The Newport Vessels nk180 seems like a good option but it seems to max out at <6mph, and don't know of it would have the power to get me over 7mph even if the prop had the pitch for it.

Which leaves me with trying to customize a standard trolling motor with a higher pitch prop and control system, which I'd prefer to avoid.

I'm hoping to come in well under $2k for the motor system. Not including batteries, solar, etc.

If someone has a solution please help!

golden motors , theyre sold out but the L03 might do it

it gives the specs so you can use them and go to alibaba-a-a-a-a-a-a

this an L05

Most of the stock trolling motors are designed around a “ trolling” spec use. That means they are optimised for low speed use on mono hull fishing boats, often with compromised “weed release” prop designs
People do use them for other uses, but to get the best efficiency/ speed for something like a small catamaran you will have to change the prop parameters....pitch , diameter, style etc.
That may be just a simple pitch change, or at worst a prop and rpm change.
If necessary higher Rpm can be achieved by increasing the battery voltage (12-24, 24-36, etc)
Im sure there are posts on here, and other forums , where many people have been through this.
