Just saw this...

http://23e.epicboats.com/#

Based on the specs it looks like this is a series hybrid with an onboard generator..."You can wakeboard for 1 hour on batteries without ever burning a drop of fuel"

Very Cool!

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Not sure if I'm buying into this claim. (1hr wakeboarding on batteries) IIRC the 'composites engineer' that worked on the Aptera body came from this company. And likely is using a version of my dad's patent: http://arctekinfusion.com/

Not sure I follow. What does your dad's patent have to do with whether or not the boat can tow for an hour?

Oh, nothing in that regard. Sorry if I misspoke. I meant the Aptera's production body seems to be built using CCCM, and some of the videos on the Aptera featuring the guy from Epic make it seem like it's his idea. No matter.

What does this boat use for batteries??

Oh, I see now. I was thinking that some how the patent design would prevent it from going for one hour. I was trying to wrap my head around how that could be. Gotcha now.

That has to be a serious amount of lithium on that thing, maybe lead... whatever it is there is LOTS of it I'm guessing at least 25 kwh
