I don't know how you get all those vids Norcal. I have actually emailed a few of those companies. Most are closed up. I saw most of those videos already on your website. The Lampuga looks good. The rider in the video didn't look like he knew what he was doing though. The board size and build looked to be wrong also. Their website seems to be functioning,http://www.lampuga.de/ Price is 10k euro however. I do wonder if that is Matthias from this forum in some of those pics. I'm probably wrong on that, though they both speak German.
The powerboard looks like the wavejet, but not as clean and the same price. Still need to be a bit faster for my uses.
Here's one from your website that I would want, minus the 10k price, also minus the gas:

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to thank you for your support and let you know that Kymera will be launching on Kickstarter in the next few weeks. The price is not yet final on the preproduction boards but we are expecting to offer the first units for around $2500. The base models will come pre programmed at 1000w rms / 2000w peak. They will also have however, the ability to take full advantage of their 6kw brushless motor at your discretion. The standard pack will be a 1kw Lipo capable of producing up to an hour of cursing with an average top speed around 15mph or so. You can find all the latest information at http://www.facebook.com/kymerajet
We are also keeping the battery as open source as possible to allow for out side innovation. The pack will be fairly generic and a standard off the shelf power connector, allowing the talent in groups like endless sphere to take the tech to the next level.

Also here a little better test video :D

Thank you again! Let us know if you have any questions!

http://www.waterwolf.de/
Waterwolf showed the MXP-3 at the recent Dusseldorf boat show and plans to launch it this May. The board will be available in 94- and 96-in (240- and 245-cm) lengths for €6,990 (US$9,560), which includes VAT. For those that want to try before they buy, Waterwolf plans to host a demo center at its Oberammergau, Germany headquarters.

The waterwolf looks good. Don't know why they went with an open prop instead of jet drive though. That could be an issue. Pricing is still crazy for what you are getting. That is a only a 5kw motor and goes over 20mph. Easily could double the speed with a larger motor and use a smaller more maneuverable board. Hopefully something similar to a skurfer or large wakeboard. The best part is how silent it is - but that could be a problem for other reasons.
I still don't get the exo-concept, kymera boards. There is likely a reason why you don't see any gas powered body boards. Make it light weight and sitdown or standup. Not many people want to get splashed in the face the whole time. Those do look like they are available today. Website didn't show pricing without emailing them. They at least have a fairing to somewhat reduce the splash.

A prop is more efficient I believe, Jet drive is much safer for a board. apparently you lose about 40% of the power with a jet water propulsion.
I like the fact that people are making them out of plastic to reduce the weight.

I am in the process of figuring my build out, I can do like a kayak with a diy jet drive, Regardless i want to make one to test out
Or a canoe with an outboard.
Both electric.

here's a video without music,
but i think they purposely lowered the volume.

the quieter the better in certain situations,
especially if u want them to make exceptions at non-motorized lakes

Waterwolf isn't selling in the US. Just got an email from them. Price is too high for me anyhow, I'd buy the jetsurf before that one. I am now rethinking the open prop thing. I don't know if that would be easier to make and mount to a board or use the jet pump I was planning on using. Frustrating that I could never get things going before it got cold. It will still be an issue to couple the motor to the jetpump. The other advantage of the jet pump is having all the electronics dry. I wouldn't know how to keep the motor dry having it mounted under the board. I am sure I read on here before about someone making a trolling motor with a brushless setup. Too lazy at the moment to reread everything. I just always figured a spinning prop underboard could mean lost fingers, toes and such. I nixed that idea, but might have to revisit it if that is easier to do.

Nice. If they meet their price points, I will buy one of those Aquilas - if only to keep myself from wasting years trying to develop one myself.
