2009 IZIP Express

I know a few of you forum members are still around, but is anyone buying any of the izip express bikes on EBay? There is a huge closeout going on and i just won one of these bikes for $50 shipped.... they retailed for $3000

Obviously its missing battery and front end but out of curiosity for $50 they are a steal! Miles said he didnt like how to evo drive changes the pedal ratio when the motor is not engaged, but i have plans to power the bike with a regular hand throttle.

Either way if you didnt know about the closeout sale go buy one before they are gone, the motor alone is worth more.

Thing came in the mail cant believe i got it so cheap. Everything is brand new. I had to order a controller and a rear cassette everything else i should have to slap it together

Looks like a good enough deal--potentially $60 or so for the basic third of an ebike (still needs a fork, steerer, handlebar, brakes, shifters, front wheel, brakes, cranks, pedals, battery, battery case and mounting, possibly controller, etc, which could be a fair bit of money all together unless one has them all laying around).

BTW, I think this is the manual:

Or buy it and sell it all, the front stem is worth more than $20 handlebars $20 motor worth $100 seat post seatand clamp $35 rear wheel is gorgeous probably worth over $100

There is a small frame up there now, thx for manual

just threw a Shimano 8 speed cassette on it, just waiting for a cheap fork to come in the mail then I can put the rest of the bike together. I had a fork kicking around but this frame has an unusually long head tube, even longer than the old EVG e-bikes and it was already cut too short!

Hey Skeetab5780
Did you get your Express together.
I bought one too, put an X-Go 36v by 10ah on it and did some test runs. It's a different beast ,for sure, especially with a hand throttle.
What was your experience?

I actually have too many bikes on hand, so I threw the frame in the dumpster like I did with all the EVG bikes...I'm not the smartest shopper

I took the rear wheel, the motor and belt for a project some day. I did a ton of research on this bike and most say it did not ride that good, I think if you take the pedal sensor off and run a after market controller like I bought with a regular throttle it would be nice!

I also used the very nice brand new handlebars, stem, seat post and seat on my other Ebike and that alone was worth the auction price!

And I used the nice sealed bearing headset on a Voloci bike that needed an upgrade!
