Elon Musk announces home battery storage system

Last week Elon announced plans for introducing the awaited home battery storage system. http://inhabitat.com/new-tesla-battery-could-take-your-home-off-the-grid/

It is speculated that Tesla pays as little as $200 per kWh for their standard lithium cells. Now they plan to offer a big cabinet full of Panasonic lith cells, one form or another, for home use. The basic idea is off grid, with their solar company.

So what would you get if you opened the cabinet and took everything apart? Stuff you could sell to ebikers? I don't know...

If they sell packs for that $200/kWhr, then maybe.
But its not likely to be viable at the price Tesla puts on their packs !
