bought the da85-6 kit from Denzel/East Gem
had to open a paypal account to pay
took 8 days to clear the funds

heres the problem
ive been asking for a tracking number for a week
but
paypal wont release the money to Alex at east gem til my motor is delivered

is there an easy solution to this?
Alex wont send til he is paid, said hes been ripped off 3x

i went into paypal and if i click
confirm receipt
i think he will get paid
which means i wont have any recourse if he doesnt send me the motor, right???

can anyone here vouch for Alex at east gem?

i got a tracking number :thumb:

Have my fingers crossed for you.

I just bought a Tandem Bike from sevenmarts.com, using Pay Pal. Slightly worried now.

Any body hear of Sevenmarts. After the purchase the payment went to Xingzhen Co.LTD. I guess it is being boated from China. Shipping was only $15 US.

What happened in your story? Link?

eBay sellers forced to bypass PayPal under new terms of use

Interesting

Paypal has taken a turn for the worse. They just screwed me out of $250 in a situation similar to yours.

I have a feeling that since ebay dumped them their bottom line has suffered and they are making everyone pay for it. :x

I believe that you can still use paypal to buy, just not to sell. In order to sell on ebay you have to give them a link to your bank account in order to get your money. No exceptions. You have to agree that they can take money from your account whenever they want with no recourse when things go wrong as your bank won't back you up over money transfers. That's what happened to me on a transfer to my daughter.

So as a seller you'd just have to open another account or two depending on how active a seller and running total ($) you deal with.

People pull the exact same move with prepaid cards for types of purchases that are recurring. Remember magazine subscriptions, porno subscriptions, Columbia Records (10 free CD's), so the companies dont have access to anything.

Ebay, I shop for deals. They now charge tax and tried several times to get the paperwork done to buy supplies for resale items tax free, but gave up after the repeated hurdles involved. Shipping is a bitch also. Not possible to let them have access to the main business account as they are not to be trusted. Will be Interesting to see how this move shakes out.

Dont trust them!

Alex from Eastgem is top notch, no reason not to trust him in the future especially using Paypal

Even trusted major corporations pull the same move, take for example a utility bill.
Errors occur all the time, its not in the major corps interest to hurry up and fix it and refund your money. Oh and the government will take take take and take their sweet ass time refunding your stolen money and you get that money back with zero interest. The other problem is if your a minnow, they basically say frock You so you need to be a whale aka rich.

Glad your stuff has arrived! You got one of those AC motors right? I am curious as to how the performance will be compared to the D9000 i got. Please post pic/vid of the action!

Bought a bike 3 weeks ago. Was offered a low ball price and purchased it without thinking. Reached out to the company with no response.

research so far: the company is Xingzhen Co.LTD, Store Address 13 McLeod Rd, St Albans VIC 3021, Australia
Shipping USA : 7-22 days

I'm at day 20 with no response from the company. Did us PayPal.

90 Days. It's not the wait. It's the no response. I could have had it in 3 days for $100 more. Shipping was only $15, sounds to good to be true. To good to be true makes me anxious.

Just did a order from Grin. The shipping was 50% of the purchase. Do not remember shipping being that high.

Shipping from and to Canada has gotten ridiculous. I don't know what is going on. It's got to be hurting Grin's business.

Yes, it's costly but received the order this morning. Fast :bolt: Look at the time they sent it. 3:27 PM. They are on the West Coast i'm in Texas central time. 5:27 PM.

Last order took like 5-7 days. Grin told me they are swamped with work.

21 Days no bike, what's up with down under. :|

I am still waiting on my order from Chain Reaction Cycle
I purchased about a month ago
Usually the order comes quick and I did not see anything that I ordered that was backordered, like a lot of whats on Hobbyking. I need XT90's but its out of stock, so I buy local which was $7 for m/f xt90 but I can get a pack of 5 pairs for $8 from hobbyking.
I will have to contact someone about my order soon, ebay but credit card not paypal.
