Lyen lying? seems to be true.
Asked him to originally modify a 22S 40 amp BMS - he quoted me twenty bucks to get it up to a good ol 80 amps. cool- sweet dealio man.
Arrived to find out he skimped on tracing the board via ElectricGod.
Then find that there are only three new resistors in parallel with the old six for nine total. ohms law is pretty sound in stating that there needs to be 12 in order to half the resistance.

On to the second confusions- bought a bunch of shunts for doing a couple projects. 4 for an external diy shunt for CA3
I have an EB318 18 FET controller which Lyen told me had only two shunts in it. so two more to double the resistance. Go in today to do all internal controller mods and fixes and guess what? oh there's actually three shunts in there mr lying?
Messaged him asking to make things right on both ends and get
"No, you are wrong."
"I don't want to argue with you anymore. Bye"

Anybody else think Lyen has gotten a little out of hand here?
Anyone else with poor or positive experiences please post. I would love to get this worked out with Mr. Edward Lyen so let me know if you are friends and can put in a word to finish the job he so poorly started.

nice catch addy upon further inspection i find more of a shit show! R004 resistors on top of R005 resistors. WHAT IN THE frock
Old resistance- 0.000833333 Ohms
New resistance- 0.000512821 Ohms

Scale factor of 1.625x

So if old BMS did "40 constant amps" it would now do 40x1.625= 65 amps

Still not 80 and what kind of multpilication factor is 1.625x? at least use R005 for a good clean 1.5x so math isnt ridiculous. Starting to look like he ran out of parts and didn't give a shit/ thought he could fool me cause i couldnt see the old resistors underneath? Im not sure what his game is

With an adjustment if resistor values in the shunts output amplifier, he could leave the shunt resistance stock and double or triple current if he wants.

When it cuts out, what do each of the cells (groups) read at the balance wires, at the moment of cutout? It could be cutting out because voltage at a balance wire drops below LVC, rather than the current limit.

Mr . Edward Lyen has always been unfailing & above and beyond with me . He has gone back and forth with me on tech support tirelessly ~ only giving himself one day off when I have needed support. He even gave me an open-ended invitation to test and question with him any ebike or controller notions I might have need of clarification or advice . Who does that ? The Edward Lyen you describe to us is maybe an evil doppelgänger of the real Mckoy.
