Hi All
I am troubleshooting my GMAC10 Regen Motor with Phaserunner and CA3.

The Problem/s
A) no power transfer to hub. So...tried to connect to Phaserunner suite (V1.4).
Initially got the Fault messages:
Warnings [1] Hall Sensor
Warnings [6] Hall

B) Later tried using Phaserunner Suite...got the message "Controller is not connected". This means I can't set parameters etc.

The Question/s
A) How can I fix the "Controller is not connected" issue?

B) Where is the support page for the Phaserunner Suite? ie how can I learn what the Warning and Faults messages are so I can correct these?

Thanks in advance

make sure youre connected to the right com port on your computer
make sure you turn on the phaserunner after connecting it to computer

go to grin technologies, phaserunner page and download the manual to see what the codes mean and theres a troubleshooting guide there also

Did it ever work, or is this your initial setup of the system?

If the former, exactly what happened between the time it worked and the time it did not?

If the latter, exactly which specific steps of the setup procedures have you followed so far?

A) no power transfer to hub.
What exactly does this mean?

So...tried to connect to Phaserunner suite (V1.4).
Using which hardware? (computer, OS, cable, etc)

Initially got the Fault messages:
Warnings [1] Hall Sensor
Warnings [6] Hall

B) Later tried using Phaserunner Suite...got the message "Controller is not connected". This means I can't set parameters etc.
Does this mean that the PRS did work to connect and communicate with the PR initially, and now does not? If so, exactly what is different in your setup or steps being done between the time it worked and the time it did not?

B) Where is the support page for the Phaserunner Suite?
Googling the underlined phrase finds this as the first hit
https://ebikes.ca/product-info/grin-products/phaserunner.html
which has some troubleshooting info, and includes links to the PRv3 updates manual
https://ebikes.ca/amfile/file/download/file/118/
as well as the more complete older versions (don't know which one you have)
https://ebikes.ca/documents/Phaserunner_Manual_Rev2.0.pdf
https://ebikes.ca/documents/Phaserunner_Manual_Rev1.0.pdf
which include some other troubleshooting info.
Unfortunately, I don't see any info that specifically references warning numbers, even in the help within the PRS, though there is info in the manuals and on the page for the connection issue.

Thanks Goatman and Amberwolf for your superquick response. Apologies for my tardy response here...

I have since been able to sort out the connection issue - mix of checking drivers, selecting ports. Done!

Also been getting power to motor when using throttle - but I'm concerned it will be intermittent and I'll get stuck out on the road somewhere well short of my destination.

So if you can help me troubleshoot this issue...
My first step - to correct these warnings:

Warnings[1]: Hall Sensor
Warnings[6]: Hall Transition

Are there some settings that I should adjust?
Any advice welcome...
Cheers

The "clear faults" button is greyed out, even if i change a parameter.

I resolved to do an Auto Tune, got the following observations/messages:
- "Blue Hall faulty - (high or shorted to Hall V+?)"
- PR LED pattern > 2-5 Instantaneous Controller Over Voltage
- still have Warnings 1 and 5. Might be related to Blue hall message

I'm out of my league when it comes to Halls.
Hope above info points to the root issue.
The throttle does seem to be functioning and wheel spinning.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks
