Hi all,

OK, next problem for all you clever people out there. After setting the default parameters from Grin for a GMAC motor using a 52v battery then running the AutoTune feature in Phaserunner I'm getting the following error:

A bit worrying for a brand new setup - or is it? Should I be concerned? I've only run this & tested outside briefly but the motor seems pretty juddery with both throttle & PAS, but I've not touched anything in Cycle Analyst yet as I wanted to be sure that there were no problems with my sensors before attempting any fine tuning.

Is there a problem with either my GMAC or Phaserunner do you think?

Hi goatman,

Yes, shunt is set to 1ohm in CA3. I've been doing some more testing, both outside & on rollers & both the PAS & Throttle seem very erratic - speeding up briefly for no reason & I've only been able to stop it by using the ebrake to kill the motor. Changing the motor position sensor type from (1)hall start & sensorless run to (2) sensorless seems to have improved things slightly, but it still seems to have a mind of it's own on occasion.

I've not tried Autotune without CA3 connected yet, I'll try it & let you know the results. Thanks for the suggestion.

Regards.

OK, tried autotune without CA3 attached & got the same error message. Looks like I got a dud GMAC eh? I've emailed Grin, I know they're off the scale busy, but hopefully I'll hear something from them in a day or two.

What a bummer.

could be a bad phaserunner

i have one that wont turn off, and the transition from sensorless to sensored its rough, somethings going on with them or maybe the L10 connector????
