Having an issue with my MXUS XF19C motor, think it’s the freehub.

Here’s a few videos of the issue one on the bike and one off with no cassette on it. I miss my bike. :(

Appreciate any help on this. TIA.

Sounds to me like a drive train issue, because the motor keeps spinning and you stop pedaling and the crunchy sounds go away.

OK After viewing the second video
The pawls on the cassette hub are f'd.

People have asked before where they can buy that cassette hub, not sure if they ever got an answer.

Took apart the motor and can’t seem to figure out how to get at the freehub. The axle shaft would have to come out of the freehub to remove it, took it a LBS and we looked at it together and couldn’t figure it out. I hope it’s serviceable as I can’t seem to find a MXUS XF19C for sale online currently.

Post some photos of it. I'm sure someone will know how to figure it out.

Maybe you can get a freewheel side cover plate from mxus?
I just saw a video, but title says Slide MXUS XF19 that has a fw.
Writing on motor says XF19R

But if you can get a fw side cover plate then you should be able to get a cassette side cover plate with cassette hub.

Here are some pics of the motor.

Anyone know how to remove the free hub body?

Not really, but if it were me, I'd start by removing the C clip.

Maybe one of these, in case you want to measure the bearing.

My two estimates on removing the freehub based on your photos are:

remove the c-clip and pull the freehub off (toward the end of the axle) by hand

or

remove the side plate with the freehub, remove the Philips head screws and push the freehub inward to separate it

Remove c clip pound axle from freehub side (careful of wires) with a mallet. Bad freehub, new one on the way.

Retailer sent out new freehub solved the problem. Put 41 miles on my first ride out.

Pretty sure this freehub will work for anyone else experiencing this issue.

My bike isn’t a surface 604 but I plan on ordering one these to keep on hand in case I have anymore issues.

Thanks for all the help. :)
