I voted sneakers. Married to a comfort bike frame, my X5 is comfortable, sturdy and athletic, but not light like a Puma athletic shoe, and not great for off-roading like a treaded, full-suspension hiking boot.

Running Shoes, it goes fast and feels good to the body. I get a lot of exercise on my e-bike.
I put my vote on the Steel Toes, strong and safe, a working machine. Or get me to work machine.. depending hehe.
