Ok guys! I’ve got something I’d like to think is a gem, I have minor experience but I think i can do it, I have a mongoose cx24200 that I scored off a buy and sell for 200$ cdn I need help with a few things and this will probably be a ear full but I’ve seen some similar builds on here from extensive research
I have a few questions for anyone willing to help
1.
What motor is best for this bike to be on the road and have some decent torque off the hop? I am legally only allowed 500watt motors in Canada but I would entertain a 750w if it’s possible to lower the wattage to 500 when I’m cruising downtown in the city? ( I want to upgrade the existing motor to a so called big block but I don’t know where to find the right one and don’t want to buy the wrong part) I’m looking for plug and play with the motor
2.
I assume I need a new controller to pair with the motor as the bike is a 24v what controller is sufficient for a 500-750w motor ? Not trying to break the bank on overkill here but don’t want to cheap out again this has stumped me for a few weeks..
3.
Wheel combo has been a huge stress, I want moto rims already laced at 19 or 20” ? I’m assuming these would fit on this frame correct me if I’m wrong!
4.
Can anyone explain the differences between 200 and 450 models ?
I have many more questions and I want to keep my original post clean but these are the main focuses of the build right now the bigger upgrades (forks handle bars rear shock and more will come in a future post but I think I have most of the correct fitting parts picked for those , again any knowledge will help with build and I’m doing this as a first time builder keep in mind thank you for your interest in my post
