OK. Still waiting for a controller that works.. but here is the finished bike.
700c wheels, powabyke hub, 36v... more covert than the Giant!
Rack from ASDA, pannier from Aldi strengthened by polyurethane chopping boards from IKEA

That's so covert, not even it knows it's an ebike. :)
 
It is a pity about the size of the hub. But I am on a budget. I`d love to get a nano! Even reusing the Giant battery pack+charger. Sits nicely in the side of the pannier. I have been told the Pioneer steel frames are very over engineered too. I was motivated by this picture I found on wiki!

Now if the hub was in the back, and the bags went just below axle hight, that would be 100% stealth.
 
That's a nice bike Andrew, but what really impresses me is the number of power sockets on your workshop wall. I can see around a dozen in the photo alone :shock:
 
Thanks! Just been changing rusty bolts etc after all it had been in a shed for quite a while.

That workshop is the best, you can`t see the overhead power. You can never have too many sockets either!
