Hi everybody,
hope to be right here to present my own created bike.
This is my first and last bike I designed to have fun.
It will be a hybride (manually and electrically usable.
The first thinking was to take a manufactured bike (Ruff Porucho), cut the tubes and put some extension inside.
But after some cut´s we decided to build it completely new, only using the seat tube, bottom bracket housing and the drop out.
Lets say the manually bike is ready and I start now with the electrical part.
Using a Cromotor in 21" motor bycicle rim with 90/90 21" tyre.
Kelly Controller KHB 14401 (24-144V, 200/400A)
6x 6S LiPo battery pack 5Ah (at the moment.
I want to start with 50V 15Ah first. But a lot of things are to do. The complete project already started one year ago by designing the frame.

... but there is a lot to do at the moment!!!

Regards Andre

Lookin' good! I don't see a pivot for rear suspension, is the shock just for appearance? That's a brave thing to cut up such a nice frame.

There is no rear suspension, it only stable the rear "swing arm" to the main frame and for optically design :)

Hi guys

How to kill a Kelly controller?
First test were awesome.
I started with 48V DC ... everything was ok but I do not like the top speed!
So I rise up to 96VDC ... much better top speed and normaly I should stop here but
no risk no fun!
So I increase the voltage to 144VDC
Enjoy the video:
https://youtu.be/JuyvykF4KZw

Everything in no load modus.

150A fuse blown away :).
The cromotor seems to be ok!
The controller is back on the way to China :-(

During waiting time I can ride it manually:

Can you show a picture of a person actually riding this? I am trying to imagine what shape human could actually pedal while seated for more than a moment or two. How far is it from the seat to the handlebars?

Sorry, I don't have a photo at the moment but a short clip from an earlier stage where I want to imagine the distance from seat position to the handle bars:
http://youtu.be/i80VAPQzcYA
The distance from the middle of the seat tube to the middle of the steering head is 99cm!
For me it's not a problem as you can see ... Long legs, short upper body and long arms ;).
But to be ownest I ride the bike more relaxed with only one hand at the handle bar ... It's a selfmade cruiser

Now it´s running at 75VDC :)
It´s awesome and so quiet!
Later on I will increase the system voltage.

Nice looking but oh my it must be so uncomfortable to ride. And why did you design it with stump swing arm when you already got a rear shock?

The rear shock is only for optical design and let's say I I is not uncomfortable to ride!
I want to ride it on 1/4 mile first time at the weekend.

I run the bike successfully on the 1/4 Mile on 2nd time.
At first time 200A fuse was blown away!
173VDC, 5 Ah batterie.
70kg weight of the bike.
118,23km/h,
16,884 sec.
reaction time: 0,8 sec (very bad, because they put me in Funny bike class which has another series by switching lamps.
I am very glad with this setup, but I know that I have a lot of mistakes by the setup (to big wheel, to heavy, etc)

Well let´s say the manual pedal to ride this bike was very usefull during break of first run.
I came away from the track with own muscle power, ok the bpm rise up to 179 ;) because of the heavy weight (70kg).
In Germany daily use at the street is forbidden!

Would love to see a pic of this bike beside a "normal bike" to get a better understanding of the scale of the bike.

Should be great on the drag strip. Maybe dual drive to get more grunt from the green light?

Give me some time to do this, meanwhile here a some photos from a photograph where I get the ok to present them.
Up to 100km/h the the speed curve is abrupt then the speed curve will be more flat.
I think to order another 5Ah and put them in parallel, hope to have more power.

For better acceleration I have to use a smaller wheel diameter or another motor.
For 2WD the weight will also grow up!

any video of the run?
Sorry, not from outside view only from view of the driver.
So there is filmed the whole run. Starting point from the tent, going to the starting position, the run (8:XXmin), and back to the tent.

I have no rival beside me, because I was the only one with electrical bike, so I run a demo!

That controller explosion was rather spectacular! and I thought this was spectacular! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWcPZBZl3lk

Next update in progress!

Now additional 7 batteries reached me and I can start to build a second on top box.

The correct screws reached me now to finish this project ...
