I finally modified my old MTB (a 1996 BMC) with a BionX PL-250HT rsp. P350.

The Bionx controller was defect so I connected the phases and hallsensors to an external BMS Batteries controller S12SH.

The accu is a 15S 6AH. The problem with the S12SH is that it is a 36V/48V controller and has an over voltage shutdown above about 60V. So with fully charged batteries at 63V it does not work.

With 60V the controller pulls 37A (measured) from the battery, so even a bit more than the specified 35A.
The bike accelerates quite strong and reaches 50km/h without pedaling :D But the motor was hot after a 10min. test drive. The controller also since it has bad cooling in the frame bag…

I ordered now a 22A 60V controller to not overheat that little motor...

Cheers
