power-assist group no longer public?

Starting yestederday my bookmark to http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-assist/ it redirects & comes up with the message
'You've reached an Age-Restricted Area of Yahoo! Groups

Sign in now'

I thought it may be a momentary glitch that would clear up after a while but it's still there today.
I have been getting a lot of spam in my Yahoo! email recently from Nigerian barristers so I'm reluctant to sign in if there may be a trohan to get me to type in my password.
Paranoid I know, but simpler to be safe.

I just want to confirm if others are getting the same message & if anyone can shed some light on why this suddenly happened.

I get the same message, and the domain is still the correct one, and there's no frames, so the odds of it redirecting to a fiendish phishing site is small. As for the reason for the change, perhaps yahoo groups admins keyed-in on their talk of "ebike porn", and responded accordingly.

Well there is an active thread on the subject & best guess is that it's due to the Yahoo! advertising at the bottom.

What I find strange is that none of the other EV enthusiast groups like <A HREF="http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/zappy/">zappy</A> or even <A HREF="http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/scootersoapbox/">scooter soapbox</A> have this kind of advertising.

Someone else suggested it's because you have to be over 18 to ride an ebike.
Personally I feel that with the two resident loudmouths Goldberg & Bruck (aka bocadude) with their obscene albeit non-sexual comments, this restriction is long overdue.

I was visiting the power asssist group last night and was signed in and after a while of reading the posts I too was redirected to the same page as you Toorbough... Had the same thought also that some devious key loggers/trojan were wanting me to give up my password for whatever reason.I decided to leave.Was there today no problem at all
