I want that! I could totally take that on the metro with me and then ride to work instead of walk. :)

I really wanna do this. I've emailed the creator and am waiting on his reply.

That's terrific. You must keep us apprised! There are also pre-made electric skateboards for about $500:

Take out the lead and wear some of your lithiums in a backpack and it could make for quite a ride. :)

Amusing, but where do you put the groceries?

Any proper PEV should be able to take two plus picnic.

BTW, another plus for the kick scoot w/power-assist vs pedal bike... when doubling up, you can cuddle en-route. Try *that* on a pedal bike.

So, yah, I hope to go to only one wheel on my next scoot. Powered 16" hub wheel. Back end will be just a high quality inline skate blade... Useful as a mount for snapping on a ski, for frolics in snowy parks...

... or would that make it a five-wheeled vehicle? Dunno, but will get only half as many flat tires as the two-wheelers <wink>

`Been thinking about this thing.

It appeared to be balancing on the roller by itself (before the rider stepped aboard.)

If the makers split the one large roller into two, effectively two wheels on one axle, would it qualify under this definition:

A self-balancing, 2-nontandem-wheeled device, designed to transport only one person, with an electric propulsion system that limits the maximum speed of the device to (xx) miles per hour or less.

:)

Has anyone found a set of blueprints for this anywhere yet?

I never received a response from the inventor and can't find much info on the web.
