I have been using a GPS tracker/alarm on one of my builds for a couple of years now, but recently decided to further integrate it into the bike by utilising the remote start functionality.
Having routed the relevant pin (switched V+) to the controller MCU feed, with excitement, I engaged remote start and *bing* my Cycle Analyst illuminates. I click disengage and it turns off. Brilliant, it works. Or so I thought....
The problem I am experiencing is that when the vibration alarm is enabled (bike locked to a lamp post, or something) and subsequently triggered, the V+ of the remote start pin is engaged and the CA/controller turns on.
Now, I'm not asking specifically about this GPS tracker/alarm (GPS303E if anyone cares), but is this behaviour usual when it comes to car/motorbike/EV alarms with remote start functionality? I have another of the same model and it behaves in exactly the same manner and it's driving me up the wall.
If anyone can spread some light on the matter, I'd be most appreciative.
