Hi All,

I am looking to buying my first an Ebike conversion kit and all the choices available are making my head wanna go pop!

I am after something with moderate power for commuting to work about 15km each way mostly flat.

I want something around 750-1000W that is gonna last and not break down too often...and of course priced well.

Anyone got any suggestions ? Anyone had something good that is still going strong after a good amount of time.

I live in Australia so my choices are a little limited.

Cheers

My suggestion would be a hub motor kit to start with. Ebikes dot ca is a good place to start; they have both kits and parts to give you an idea of what's available. (And Justin is a great guy.)

Hi Guys,

Sorry I just noticed the replies.

I am located in Kingscliff (basically Southern Gold Coast). I have been researching like mad and think I am going to get a BBS02 and build my own battery. I would get a BBSHD but cost is a factor.

Just wondering where Aussies are getting their 18650 cells from?

Thanks,

Scott

ru.nkon.nl is the VAT free site often used
Fasttech.com has cans as well
Tumich in the For Sale section has cans and packs with very little work needed
Just look around E.S. forums and use the search function.
