Just received my new QS motor and was wondering if within the motor case itself, is there
a place where they list the motor winding? I ordered the 3.5 winding and am pretty certain
they sent me the 5T.
Sometimes they write it on the stator inside teh motor. You can test the speed at a particular voltage to see what RPM it gets, this lets you calculate the kV (RPM per volt). Then you can compare that with the manufacturers specs for the winding you think it should be, and if its not close, then they may have sent you the wrong one.
Yeah I'm not about to take it apart but did bench test it yesterday and not only
found the rpm low but heard a grinding noise coming from the motor. I guess its
time to send this one back.
