Sometimes they write it on the stator inside teh motor. You can test the speed at a particular voltage to see what RPM it gets, this lets you calculate the kV (RPM per volt). Then you can compare that with the manufacturers specs for the winding you think it should be, and if its not close, then they may have sent you the wrong one.
