bike recommendation?

Post by cana77 » Mar 10, 2018 10:34 pm

Hey all,
Does anyone know a bike that would fit a magicpie edge front hub motor 26".
I know it needs a steel frame, i just cant find any good bikes for that.
I am going to be mounting the battery in the frame of the bike.
Links to pages or bike names would be helpful.
Thanks Chad

Why a front motor in the frame? Or are you talking about putting it in the fork?

Then you need a steel fork, but not a steel frame. The frame can be made from whatever. It helps to be made of straight round tubing if you're going to mount things to it, though.

Ride on smooth roads? Or bumpy dirt trails? Important that bike fits the rider. Good place to look at and learn about bicycles is a local bicycle shop or Walmart. Bring a magnet so you can tell if forks are steel. Garbage picking and Craigslist are good ways to find used bicycles.

I really enjoy my surly big dummy which was made for 26”, but I ride a 24” in the back and a 29” in the front.
