EVT-168 replacement motor

Post by alanjhayes » Dec 10 2020 9:07pm

Hi: I am looking for advice as to where to look for a replacement motor for my EVT-168. Either an original motor or possibly another one that will fit. I am not sure if I can replace just the motor or if it comes complete with a wheel? Thanks for any help anyone can give me. It is a 1500 watt, 48v motor. I am in the Niagara Falls area, Canada
Dec 11: Update on my post: What I need is a 10" motor (integral with the wheel).

Easily replaced motor.
What voltage are you using currently and is it lead acid or lithium.
What size you figure that motor is, 13 inch, 14 inch?

Its been converted to Lithium - i believe its 48v
I’ll measure the motor tomorrow. And thanks for the qsmotor link 😊

G'day mate.
If your 168 was originally SLA, it probably has a brushed hubmotor. Look at the wires going in to it. 2 thick wires is brushed, 3 thick & 5 thin is brushless. Changing from brushed to brushless motor means you'll have to change the controller as well.
ES member Pthedude has EVT parts in the US & may be able to help you out. Shoot him a PM.

Yep! and if you dont want that old Gal, I'll take her! I'm soo slowly working on an online store, to help distribute the last remaining parts stash of EVT's
I have a few parts already tagged, if you need anything else, let me know!
