Currie phat flyer motor

Post by chuckklr98 » Aug 26 2017 9:11am

Need a currie phat flyer motor asap . New with upgrade power would be best, but used is fine too! No one has the internal speed control
motor in stock due it's age. 985/707/4956 I uber deliver on it and a e trailz bike. Got into a routine of letting one charge while riding the other. Now I'm a bit limited with no backup.

Don't bother...there are better options than replacing your blown one with another one.

If you are daed set on just doing a parts swap, get on craigslist and look around. You may find what you are looking for there. These little scooters were fairly popular a few years back and sold a lot of them. Schwinn, Currie and a few other companies made variants that used brushed or brushless motors.

I'll have to look around, but since I have 3 of this sized scooter, I believe I have a couple of the motors. I know one is brushed and another is the outrunner variant, I rewound the motor since the controller and windings in mine were fried. If you used this motor, you would need a controller too and some rewiring.

I've been looking, but with no success.

found this https://cart.electricscooterparts.com/P ... =KIT-CT500 , and it works fine. changing out the stock 10 amp batts for 15 amp and will raise the deck. controller should handle the extra amps it's rated to 30 amps.
