Brief info on these cells for those that dont know. There are 192 cells in these gen 2 packs. Rated at 25ah. Each 2p is at 430amps peak. Or a conservative 215a each cell ~10c. @$2000 per pack each cell is $10.

Chevy Volt is a hybrid, so it has a back-up engine. Therefore, the pack only needed a short "electric only' range. As a contrast, the Tesla model-S battery pack may be capable of 300+ miles, but...the typical drive is still less than 60 miles between charges.

However, the Volt pack still had to provide full performance, even though it was fairly small. This means the Chevy Volt has very high C-rate batteries, and they are very useful for an electric bike. The Zero motorcycle also has similar batteries.

They use LG chem pouch. They are automotive grade so they need to maintain at least 70% for 100,000 mile warranty. Originally I wanted to use the leaf cells but they were too big.

I have a pack up in Sacramento.
Was going to get ready to take it apart and part it out by modules.
Hoow many modules are you interested in?
If you are looking for the whole pack, you might as well buy it locally to save on shipping.
If a few modules, we can provide them.
Let me know how many you are interested in, if any.

The 2016+ Gen2 pack has 3 16s modules and 4 12s modules. If I was closer I would definitely be interested in splitting/buying multiple packs.

Check out these 2 videos

Please get an accurate weight on the Gen2 modules and share!!

Edit- rewatched the video. 16.55kg for the Gen2 12s and 18.03kg for the Gen1 12s module. The capacity of the Gen1 varies depending on the model year

I need to update my location. Actually in Columbus, OH now. Thanks thou, still a good deal. I've been scoping out car-parts for the last month or so.

Also the Gen1 pack is 3p of 15Ah cells so 45Ah total in 2012. Minor improvements go that up to about 48Ah total in the 2015 pack.
The Gen2 modules are 2p of 25/26Ah cells so 50/52Ah total. The weight difference is most likely in cell energy density improvements and slight packaging weight reduction.

I have another 2017 pack in Kansas city.
How much of the pack are you interested in?

Still looking here for 2016 or newer either: one 16s module or 20 matched cells. Tested.

Thread closed: bought a 2016 module from ebay. $16 per cell including shipping.

Advice: if you see a good deal or on carpart get it. I lost my chance. Packs are scarce now. Some were $10 per cell. One had only 5000 miles on it.
