Hiya. 21st-Century urban Canadian here... used to passing hundreds and thousands of folks trapped in huge carriages ("cars") w/ "just" 500 watts of (continuous) power.

Need more "speed"? Seems... odd. (sorry)

That would make it slower; assuming the OP wants a faster bike he'd need a larger diameter wheel on the motor.

Regarding removing the speed limit itself, I don't know how, but I'd guess that it would require access to the dealer programmer/software. There are some Bionx posts/threads that Cephalotus (IIRC) has posted in that have info on bypassing some other things; maybe also has info or links to info on speed.

Thanks for all replys, I should have made it a bit clearer, my goal is not really to go much faster, but to remove the "wall"you hit when you reach 45KPH, it feels like its going into regen at that point while you peddle and would be nice if that was eliminated, I would think some extra speed would be introduced, but that is debatable.
I thought the small wheel comment was just a joke.

Putting in a smaller wheel size means it doesn't think you are going as fast, so although your speedometer reading is off, it won't hit the pedal assist limit because it does not know you are going over it's built in liability speed limit. I was amazed how bad it hit way back when I test rode one at a bike show. Felt like the bike was broken when it hit 20mph. At the time I was capable of cruising my recumbent around 22-24mph on the flats without assist, so it would have made zero sense to get an electric assist that kept me from going over 20mph.

Why not also post it directly into the thread?

(otherwise, if the link goes down, the solution also is lost)

It means exactly what it says; posting the information itself (rather than just a link) into the thread.

You could either retype it, or you could copy and paste it.

If there are images, pictures, drawings, etc., you can attach them to the post in the attachments tab below the text entry box and submit/etc buttons, so they are also available to anyone that can see the post (and would not be lost should something happen to the site at the link).

So did you buy this piece? How does it work for you. I am interested as well to have the throttle work till 45km or to the top speed of the bike. So much to search on this forum. Cheers.

Yes I did purchase this device, not available in North America, bought it through a freind of a friend living overseas, it was easy to use and no longer have the speed limiter at 45 Kph, which means I can continue pedal after 45 Kph and not feel any hold back of the motor.
I rarley use my throttle button just use my pedal assist, level 1 - 4. Top end going down a grade, have reached 56 Kph. :D

Thanks for the reply. I have found when going down hill I can go faster by putting the power setting to 0. I have hit 59km/h this way. I could have gone faster but read in the manual not to exceed 60km/h with the system.

I would have ordered this but it sounds like its a bit hard to get as Im in Canada. World wide shipping but not north america :?

I have tried the power setting at zero when going down a hill, and it did not make any difference for my bike, if that works for you, you don`t really need the speed limit remover then and you can pedal on down those hills, for me I hit that wall, and it did not feel good, now its perfect, if I wish to pedal on, I can and ofcourse up the speed, 56-59 is plenty fast for me, I am sure I could do more depending on the grade of the hill,(but gets kinda scarey) it just feels more like riding a regular bike.
Is your bike an OHM?

Yes my bike is an OHM. Well to get the 59km/h I was pedaling as hard as I could down a steep hill with the draft of cars helping too. I would like to pedal faster then 45km/h on a flat road. That would be cool.
Right now im researching something that is could do 45-50km/h and do that for 100km+ and is still comfortable to pedal. Im not to sure how easy/comfortable it is to pedal a stealth bomber style bike.

If you are using a G2 console I have the tools to remove the speed limit.
I'm located in Vancouver BC.
