1995 electric crx- no batteries sell/trade?
1995 electric crx- no batteries sell/trade?
I have an electric crx build that is extremely well documented with its own website.
I am just putting this out to see if anyone has interest as I do ebikes and got this in a trade and it may be a little above my knowledge .
I received this car for a custom ebike build right before the pandemic started. I received the car without batteries and had planned to build them and install myself. It can run on a Nissan leaf battery.
The man I did the trade with had taken then plastic wrap off of his battery And attempted to put it back into the metal frame and burned down his house. I have not spoken to him since. I have the title from him with both our names signed right before the pandemic started so that will come with the car along with Bill of sale
The car has no batteries but runs on 144-400v up to 400a. Water cooled engine and controller/charger built in.
Website dedicated to the car below

3500$ obo
Or what do you have to offer?
I'll take any reasonable offer especially if you are making a drive or arranging a pickup
Local pickup only st. Louis Missouri

It's a cool car, as cars go. (Spoiler! Cars aren't cool.)
Maybe it would attract more attention in a more car-centric forum?

This is to express my gratitude to Justin of Grin Technologies for his extraordinary measures to save this forum for the benefit of all.

Yeah I got it in a trade so I didn't really know where to go with it.

Mynissanleaf.com, where I moderate, has a forum for Other EVs, and I think there might be some interest there. You need to sign up for a free membership, first. We're pretty car-centric, over there.

Remember its' also the holidaze, so most people are less focused on stuff like forums and intarwebs in general.

Thanks man I'll be checking that out right after the holidays. I've always used es for ebike but have seen all the other threads and figured there may be the same amount of interest in an item like this.
Thanks again for the info!

Re: 1995 electric crx- no batteries sell/trade?
I live a few hours away near Kansas City, and I have a Miata I want to convert to EV one day. I do not have a truck that could tow the car back home though, I would need to load parts into my hybrid hatchback.
So I could see myself buying just the motor, controller, charger, and any accessories I could use. The coupler, flywheel, clutch, and adapter plate could be usefull too especially if I can find a RWD transmission that it could mate too (would need to do some research, maybe even my Miata gearbox might fit the coupler).
If that is something that would be acceptable to you. It would be hard for me to spend over $1000 though.

Sorry bud I can't do 1000 to part out. The motor, controller, charger are all liquid cooled in a loop. The charger is over 900$ alone

2500$ takes it.

Really sad kinda. I would love to jump on this for $2K.. Even 2.5$ is a great deal honestly. ...but that ($2K) is getting close to part out territory. Meaning you may choose to make more (money) by a part out.
good stuff there. Its a cool, older Honda with a easy classic title here in PA and parts support for ever. Lightweight, and very economical I would say. The site is great: There looks to be like $10,000 in Time and Mat there. Seriously alot of T&M. I would totally stuff it with batteries.
I woulsd love to have it.. but without a title you are kinda.. out of luck when it comes to the average buyer. Average buyer does n0t want to deal with it. Especially trying to find a buyer in one oth the other ( 49) states you happen to not be in at the moment.
makes a $2K car into a$1K car. IMO. With title, and battery, you could easily demand $3-4K I woulsd say, for a turnkey titled vehicle.
I would totally rock that thing. GLWS.
