Valence Batteries and Accessories

Post by mrbill » Jun 18 2014 10:06pm

Shipping is $10 or (actual shipping charges + (optional) insurance charges + delivery confirmation fee, if any), whichever is greater. I will try to find cheapest shipping option or will ship according to your carrier of preference.

Most items are new or lightly-used. A few items that have been used moderately or heavily are noted. If you think my item pricing is off or you're buying multiple items, please make me an offer.

I will test everything electronic to make sure it works before I send it out, so I am selling everything "as is". But, if you buy an item that is dead on arrival, damaged in shipment, or you believe you got a raw deal, please contact me as soon as possible so we can work out a solution. I am not making a profit on this and am more interested in seeing this surplus hardware find a home with other enthusiasts where it will get used instead of collecting dust in my workshop.

Don't forget to take a look at my bike items for sale.

All prices are in US Dollars. Please follow up or reply via private message if interested.

If you prefer to browse by photo, the complete photo album of e-bike items for sale can be seen here.

$15 - Wiring harness for connecting two (2) U1-format batteries in series, weight-balanced
Item has been lightly-used. Wiring harness includes charging port. Connectors are Anderson PP45. Wire is 10ga. Wire to charging port is 14ga. This harness is designed to connect two batteries that are each mounted on opposite sides of a bike (for balancing the weight). See accompanying photo for hookup illustration. Note: I have two more of these harnesses that have been heavily-used that need some minor repair (installing new heatshrink tubing or liquid electric tape) that I can include at no cost with any purchase of two Valence U1 batteries advertised on this site. See photo of hookup illustration.

$10/ea - Wiring harness for connecting two (2) U1-format batteries in series
2 items are available. Items are unused. Wiring harness includes charging port. Connectors are Anderson PP45. Wire is 10ga. Wire to charging port is 14ga. See photo of hookup illustration.

Since I have the original shipping boxes and the MSDS forms, and these batteries are UN3090 approved, I should be able to air ship them to the EU by cargo aircraft only. I suspect it will cost extra to ship them since they're classified as "dangerous goods", but I don't know how much. Shipping domestically (USA) via UPS would be about $20-25/battery. I suspect international shipment would be 3-4x as much, including the extra paperwork and special handling.

If you're seriously interested, and my rough guesstimate on shipping cost doesn't put you off, I can get you a more definite answer and cost estimate.

Updated for the new year.

After 8 years and 300 deep cycles the batteries have about 83% of their original capacity.

I have just learned that as of February 6, 2015 UPS Ground shipping will require additional paperwork and a "dangerous goods" designation, including possibly additional cost, to ship these large format lithium ion batteries. There is a chance I may not be able to ship these at all after this week.

https://www.ups.com/content/us/en/about ... ry_US.html

So, if you have been thinking about buying any of these batteries, please consider doing so that I can get them shipped by Friday at the latest. If you don't like my price, make an offer.

Thanks.
