If it’s in good shape and had a working battery, I would say about $1,000 USD. HOWEVER, without a working battery, I would say around $500.

It doesn’t cost a lot to put a 16AH battery on it and get great range and power from this pioneering bike.

It depends on where you're located. If you're in Southern California or Florida, then I would suggest Craigslist. If you're in a Northern area, then I would suggest eBay. However, eBay is challenging since it usually means you'll have to pack it and ship it. Also, I would raise the price by about 30% or so to cover the eBay fees!

It would also be VERY helpful to post some clear overall and close-up photos of your bike.

Good luck!

Is this the folding ebike with rear-hub motor and front-hub nickel battery? I've always thought they were cool, just need a modern battery setup. I take it this was operational before the battery gave out?

I live in KCK and would love to check it out either way. You free this weekend?

This bike was recovered today! Or at least most of it. We tried to meet up with him back in February and he flaked out. He sent a few messages over the year that he was ready to sell now and I had first dibs. We even contacted police who said that we had to setup our own sting operation as they don't have the resources. I ended up being able to track him down online and saw that he was selling loads of new in box electronics on various web apps. It was pretty frustrating trying to meet up with the dude as he was always full of 💩. I happened to skim the news headlines today that the local police were requesting people who had been burgled recently contact them because they have hundreds of stolen items from these guys that they are trying to get back. I noticed one of the dudes arrested was busytreeman!! Called up my friend who had his bike stolen and he contacted police and recovered pieces to the bike. Went out for beers to celebrate. I'm sure he will post the damage. Needless to say, busytreeman is now busyjailman, must have followed the trucks dropping off Amazon packages and collecting them all for a while now!

To give everyone some history, this was originally a TF bike I sold on eBay complete with 3rd party battery in August, 2015. The owner notified me that the bike was stolen from his front porch in August, 2016. I kept my eyes open for it online. It showed up in all places right here! I notified the owner who is also in Lawrence. As you can see above I tried to get more info on this bike since it had all of the items that I had on the original bike I sold. He kept disappearing whenever madmatmax (my original ebay customer) tried to contact him. When the lead went cold, I thought it was gone again. I'm so glad that mmm kept at it and finally recovered it! Huzzah!

I'm soooo pleased and excited to get back my beloved bike! Just picked it up from police impound yesterday afternoon, right before class. just picked it up from police impound yesterday before the last class of the semester! I'm soooo pleased and excited to get back my beloved bike! It looks sad and dirty, but it's home. Thank you so much, @madmatmax and @ambroseliao !
Image

Lots of small parts are missing, like the front wheel, front disc and calipers, and set of great fenders that were a PITA to install. Oddly, they hadn't sold the (pricey) Brooks saddle I'd added, so I got that back, too! Also surprising to get back is the amazing and silent 1000-watt Wavecrest motor and Cycle Analyst computer - you'd think thieves would sell the pricey stuff like that, or the frame, but no - they removed things like the seat mount. Huh.

The week after BusyJailMan stole my M750X, he (I'm assuming) stole my older Europa ebike... I recovered that one (nearly complete but not functional) a few months later when a kid found it in the gully near their house, and now I've recovered this one. How often do stolen bikes reappear? Amazing!

Plus BusyJailMan and his accomplice are now multiple-strike felons (and former convicts, too) - they'd just emptied a house and stolen a car in addition to all the small thefts, so I don't think they'll be taking anyone else's bikes anytime soon.

Good news!
