Used Nuvinci N171b CVT, 36 hole in silver. This hub was originally acquired for a Greenpower racing car project, and was used for 2 four hour races. We changed our design approach toward a single speed setup after those races as our students (11-16 yr olds) were struggling to get the best out of it. We were trying to run the car at a constant current with the students manually adjusting the ratio to meet a set point, it proved too challenging so we changed. Since then it's been at in storage at school for around 8 years! All original parts are present and correct except for one spacer. I've photographed the part in question (from my brand new hub - also listed on eBay) with measurements which shouldn't be too hard to reproduce. Also included is a spare twist grip controller and cables and the actuator that clips to the hub. The disc brake adaptor is already attached to the hub.
The N171b was well over engineered compared to subsequent models and will make a great CVT for an ebike or EV. It can handle a peak input torque of 130Nm and has a gearing range of 350%. The peak power capability of the hub is reputed to be up to 5000W with continuous power rates over 1000W.
This hub is being sold on behalf of a school and all proceeds will be going back to the school to help fund a new Greenpower car build.
The hub is listed on eBay with all the photos, starting bid is £80. International shipping available at purchasers own cost. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2204244938
