3D printed parts Depository

Looongtime lurker almost-never poster adding a couple of things I just uploaded:

42 Tooth Onda HDT 5m pulley:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:820097

18650 4x1 cell carrier:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:820139

The neat thing about the 42t pulley is that you can really easily tap the stock holes for 5mm screws. I've got a couple longboard projects I'm working on. I've lurked here for a real long time without posting because this place just has that much info to take in without having to ask to be spoonfed, hopefully I can start contributing back ;)

Oh, and here's a nice 3d printer fail, skip to about a minute in. I was printing Sune's faraday motion sprocket when one of the setscrews for the balljoints gave out.

First, welcome :D

I feel you there but if you're able to bring this kind of things don't be afraid to post.

Second : thank you! The 18650 cell carrier here looks like a good form factor, are the cells able to expand a bit when they heat? Allow me to post this to Freshair topic!

After further research I've cancelled my order on the Genesis 3D because lack of CE certification so I would have never been shipped in France unless they solved this certification problem.

Instead I went for a TeeBot! Delivery expected in August :)

Just published some models you guys might like ;)

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:833053 (motor pulley, 16 teeth version)
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:804463 (updated motor mount for Randal RII trucks)

I'll let you know later how long this print survives (it's just 8mm thick, printed at 100% fill out of PLA)

This is the wheel sprocket adapter for my build.
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=69243

The adapter fits an ElectricScooterParts's 54 Tooth Rear Wheel Sprocket for #25 Chain (holes enlarged to 6 mm)
http://www.electricscooterparts.com/SPR-2554.htm
Couples to a MBS TriSpoke Hub
http://shop.mbs.com/accessories-366/mountainboard-wheels/hubs/mbs-tri-spoke-hubs-black.html

The adapter is based on MrRocketman's Wheel_Insert_Inside.stp
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:236811/#files
I selected a larger wheel sprocket for my build with a larger bolt pattern. I put in a few night trying to learn Freecad and then sent the job to a freelancer.

Here is the original versus modified
Adapter-original_vesus_modified_eMTB-2015.jpg

Endless-sphere didn't let me upload the STL mesh file, STEP model or Solidworks model, so I'll send them to MrRocketman's and he will hopefully add them to his Thingiverse page.

My own quote
Luckily tweaking a 3D model is a lot easier than tweaking a physical object.
The hell it is. If I could have used a dremel on the STP-file, this mod would have been done in 30 min

The 'tube' part that grabs the irregularities on the hanger has seperated from the main body of the mount. I have glued it with 2 component acrylic paint about 20km ago.. Total is now about 35km.

@Beto_py or anyone else do you have/know where I can get a model for a 36t 15mm pulley that fits the 83 clones? Beto I know you said you use a 15mm setup unlike most of the people who are using 9mm setups. I am going to investment cast it for a class project (class credit for making my e-board that much more awesome?!?! yes please.) Thanks!

investment cast! cool. always wanted to but never did.
are you going to do a lost pla cast? I heard there's a new wax filament that you could melt out and burn out cleaner than the pla.

you going to do it in aluminum? might as well do something longer lasting and nicer looking like aluminum bronze if you can get that bit hotter.

Yeah i am pretty excited about it, we will have to see how it turns out. yeah I will be doing it with PLA. The wax filament sounds cool, but I know they don't have it for the printer I have access to at school, and there is no way I could get it in time. I have heard that the PLA works pretty darn well though. I am going to do it in aluminum, at least at first (they have tons of casting aluminum for free right now), and if it works well I may well do something a bit better, but I imagine that the aluminum will hold up pretty well.

TeeBot successfully funded 400%! :D

Will be able to join your fray by August haha

There really is more and more materials to print with nowadays, promises beautiful designs for e-boards.

Let me see.. i think i had on in solidworks..cant remember if it was36 or 38..
Need it as an stl ?

Speaking to okp regarding the controller housing I have done and while he isn't keen on it, a friend of his is enjoying it. I am also finding no problems in my testing, so uploading the files for all.

Basically, this is a new controller housing for the internals of a GT2E controller from hobbyking. Doesn't use any extra parts and easy to convert. Uses a thumb throttle control, keeps the control panel board unchanged, and is much smaller than stock. Still a little large and heavy due to the 4 AA batteries, so if anyone wants to buy me a GT2B for a similar conversion then that could be cool..

Finally have something to contribute here. I modified Voodoojar's 50mm motor mount for 63mm motors. The sizing fits Torqueboards weld on motor mounts pretty well. Heres the file on Thingiverse if anyone is interested:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:884314

I also made a version for those of us who still use the 20 tooth motor pulley and 40 tooth wheel pulley w/ 9mm belt:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:884310

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:965514

Made a 40 tooth htd5 kegel pulley for 15mm belts.
Cheers voodoojar for the inspiration.

Here ya go okp.

any changes preferred let me know and I'll change it as best i can.

great, is it the same than this one ?

Gl0H2MG.jpg

in this one, it seems that there's something that fits on the other side of the wheel

I dont think so.
There is not part on this outter side and the pully side which is close to the wheel is flat (whereas this other one is curved to match the wheel shape).
It is probably another design.
