Is there any way this new motor can be used in a mid-mount configuration?

Thanks in advance!

Vito: Firstly, thank you for your macribs's feedback.
We have mid drive hub motor, 5kW and 8kW.
Here is the thread in details.

Hello Vito,
I have been asked by a local artist to help him produce a full sized very powerful Batpod. Yes guys, I will start a seperate build thread. :)
up_1.jpg

What is the largest car hub with single sided axle you make standard please?
Is it this one? 273 ecar motor.
http://tzquanshun.en.alibaba.com/product/1566428709-0/Electric_Car_Brushless_Hub_Motor.html

I want it for the rear wheel drive to bolt up to a standard sprintcar rim. But in needs to fit the 265mm internal diameter of the rim.

Hello Samd,

Thank you for your kindly information.
I think QS E-car Single Shaft Hub Motor could fit with the EV.
If it's 265mm internal diameter of the rim, I suggest to choose QS 205 3kW E-car V3 hub motor.
Or you have to change bigger wheel for install 273 hub motor, the standard rated power is 8kW motor.
Meanwhile, we could customize to be rated 12kW motor (70mm) or 16kW dual stator motor (50mm+50mm).
PS. We could add water cooled system for 273 motors, which cost USD 400.0 more.
And it takes about 60 working days.

For detailed, please refer to attached "3kW 8kW 12kW E-car QS Motor Quotation & SPEC .pdf".
Btw., here is updated link for reference.

Thanks. Could you pm me cost for delivery to Australia please.
For the 3kw motor. I will start there.

Looks good but really wide for an ebike specially the way the phase wires come out the side.
Trying to put this on anything resembling a bicycle would be stupid. You're talking about nearly 30kg of motor and controller alone then another 20kg atleast for the batteries. This along with peak power around 30kw is proper motorcycle territory.
That said, the design could have been a little better. It's not even so much that the phase wires exit from the side but that 3 of the 4 sides will have fat bunches of wires coming out from them. It makes trying to integrate this into a bike not so aesthetically pleasing...

Hyena,

Welcome to Endless Sphere.....we over volt and over power everything. you are obviously a new guy!

Tom

Holy Frock. Did someone just pick Hyena for a noob?
WTF?

Of course not. I was making him aware of where he was in relationship to his comment about power.

No one here is looking to over volt or shove too many amps into something. We only push what the label says or less!

Tom

@vito Is there any chance for you to make the qs 205 v3 with water cooling?

Vito, for the 3kw motor - possible to make it a lower kV? By about 30 percent?
The wheel will be 80cm diameter. At 1000 rpm the motorbike will want to go too fast - 158kph!
I fear that acceleration would be poor with the standard winding...

Vito, are the Qs 2000W and Qs 3000W still available?

If so, what is their approximate weight and price Qty 1?

Hello RovertC,

Thank you for your interst, the QS 2000W and QS 3000W are not available.
If any news, will update on ES.

Best Regards

Any news on our motors?

Vito,

I sent some enquires through alibaba but have not received any form of reply yet. Are you guys busy on hand?

Hello Samd, sorry for my late reply.
For if it's 80cm diameter, the perimeter is 2.51m.
Considering windage, the peak speed is about 128KPH.
Rough calcuation formula of high speed (more than 100KPH):
V=0.85*RPM*2πr*60/1000 V (KPH), RPM=un-load RPM, r=radius of tire
Rough calcuation formula of high speed (less than 100KPH):
V=0.9*RPM*2πr*60/1000 V (KPH), RPM=un-load RPM, r=radius of tire

Here is different kV for reference, please advise which one do you prefer?
Winding.jpg

Btw., When placing order, pls. advise below points:
1. E-bike, tire model (80cm diamter)?
2. Volt and wattage of motor (3000W), Speed, and torque/climb angle ?
3. Your vehicle weight and loading weight?
4. Lithium or lead-acid Battery?
Thank you for your cooperation.

Awaiting for your comment, thank you!

Best Regards

Hello Macribs,

Sorry for my late reply.
So far, we couldn't make QS 205 V3 with water cooling.
The axle will be much bigger than normal, and drop-out might more than 300mm, axle flat will be more than 10mm.

So far, 273 Motor could be customized to be water cooling, but it cost much.

Vito: Oh, sorry. We're busying in building new website on Alibaba.
http://qsmotor.en.alibaba.com/
Anyway, I will check it and get back to you by email asap.

Vito,

You still haven't got back to me either after a couple of PM attempts. So on a bike is the 205 3000 watt or the new 273 4000 watt the better way to go with say a 19" motorcycle wheel? I can't find the diameter of each of the motors unless it's actually the 205mm and 273mm? Also do you know the weight of the 273 4000 watt motor for comparison?

Tom

The new pages claim 244mm for both: http://qsmotor.en.alibaba.com/product/60294635224-801642986/QS_8000W_273_50H_E_bike_Spoke_Extra_V3_Type_Hub_Motor.html

The datasheets are a bit off, though, as above, the measurements are the same even for the 8kW version & various other inconsistencies...
Let's give them a while to edit in the details into what looks to be WIP.

Hello Tom,

Sorry for my late reply.
Now, new 205 50H 3000W spoke hub motor is ready, the diameter of motor is 244mm.
For 273 40H 3000W spoke hub motor (diameter 317mm), we're making sample to test, which estimated to be ready next week.
If any news, I will keep it post in ES.

For details, please refer to attached "New 205 50H 3000W Spoke QSMOTOR Quotation & SPEC" & "273 40H 4000W Spoke QSMOTOR Quotation & SPEC".
Btw., 273 40H 4000W motor is better for sure if the axle flat could be 12mm.

Best Regards
