I'm looking for a simple and reliable 36v 250w sensorless controller for my PRIMA Powerbike and my wives Piaggio Albatros (technically the same).
The original controllers are sadly nothing but trouble, I know electronics and daily repair al kinds of equipment but these are just...italian..
So I'm looking for another alternative, I preferably keep using the original switches (one on/off and one eco/sport),
Batterypack is made from 32 GP 11ah nimh cells, (so after a quik charge cel voltage could easily be 1.5 volts times 32 equals 48 volts so maybe that fried the original controllers :roll: )
But could use less cells ore only slowcharge..
Motor is 36 volt direct drive no sensors rated 250 watt.

Any ideas on what (not) to buy??

Thanks.

Also, I use my bike daily to get to work (and back..) and do about 4000 miles a year.

I like the Elifebike controllers. They are simple and sturdy.
If you get one with a meter, you can turn it off and on with the meter.
The controllers without the meter, you would have to wire in a switch.;

Thanks for the advice guys, this is what I wass looking for, however they don't ship to europe?
The greentime controllers are easier to get hold of but they don't provide that detailed wiring information and further specifications?
Does anybody have detailed info on the greentime controllers?

btw, I would at least need 3 pcs..

Thanks, so is this the one I'm looking for?:

Most connections I can make sense of but what is EABS?, and can I use it without throttle (not allowed in my country..) and only pas?
and is the speedlimit (max 25kmph by law..) user definable?

Thanks.

Thanks but it may be to sophisticated for what I'm looking for, I could build my own speed limiter with a magnet attached to my wheel,
a hall sensor and a pulse counter that would apply the brake input of the controller when the number of pulses a second reaches a certain amount, with some hysteresis.
But would rather use the build in feature of the controller if it had something like that, it could easily be programmed into the controllers pic
comparing the number of '' thumbs'' (what is the word I'm looking for here?) per second with the number determent by an value of a analogue input, set for example by a external (variable) resistor..
Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated,

I was thinking about the smaller, lower power 6-FET model;

There are three versions, LCD meter, LED meter and no meter and which you want depends on you donor bike and it's controls.
EABS is some sort of ABS system, left unused.
Yes, the controller will run on PAS only, Throttle wire is left unconnected.
The controller has 3-speed limiting, something like 40%, 70% and 100%. I would think one of those would match your speed resreiction.
