Vitto,

I think you should also post spoke diameter and length for QS205 and QS273 to a give set of rims.

Something that looks like this.

Single-cross pattern
QS205 26" bicycle rim = 12-14g spoke 1XXmm
QS205 24" bicycle rim = 12-14g spoke 1XXmm
QS205 17" motorcycle rim = 8-10g spoke 1XXmm
QS205 19" motorcycle rim = 8-10g spoke 1XXmm

QS273 26" bicycle rim = 12-14g spoke 1XXmm
QS273 24" bicycle rim = 12-14g spoke 16XXmm
QS273 17" motorcycle rim = 8-10g spoke 1XXmm
QS273 19" motorcycle rim = 8-10g spoke 1XXmm

Has anyone confirmed the spoke length for a QS205 in a Holmes Hobbies 17" Rim? If they are the same as the Cromotor, it will be 108mm (according to Holmes Hobbies website).

@Vito:
Will you assume the custom clearance when you send the packet, or will I have to assume it?

That´s interesting.

good choice^^ i measured 42mOhm on such motor including the phase wires. thats not bad :)

What's that like compared to MXUS 45mm with as close to similar KV as possible? I know you've experimented with a few by now :)

the 12kV mxus has 55mOhm measured directly on the windings. with wires like the QSV3 has it would have about 60mOhm. with stock wires it has 72mOhm.
from a rough guess, at same torque output the QSV3 should produce about 25-35% less heat compared to the MXUS.

If it's the same compared to my actual stock Bomber Crystalyte 5403 I will be a happy camper

Hi Vito,

Any plans to include support for a "cassette" freehub side cover on these instead of a freewheel threaded mount?

i-dJFVmpH-L.jpg

I'd be perfectly happy to build a bike with 150mm or larger dropouts if I could find a high-powered motor with cassette and decent shaft diameter.

Sorry for my late reply.
We didn't have a plan to make it support for a "cassette" freehub side cover, instead of a freewheel threaded mount.
Could you please explain why you prefer to configuration?
If it turns out reasonable and great demand, the motor could be customized, and even open new mould.
Awaiting for your comment, thank you!

bigbore, can you weigh the QS 205 also?

It weights 12.9Kg = 28.4lb
My stock Bomber motor Crystalyte 5403 weights 13.6Kg = 30lb with disk break

it looks very similar and it's only 7.5kg, which is nice for the power

I doubt that is only 7.5kg, Those motors I believe are 9.16kg now with the aluminum stator.

QSMotor, will the QS 205 motor work on a 165mm dropout width?

How wide is the axle on the QS 205? Is it as wide as the cromotor axle because that axle is long enough for a 165mm drop outs.

I had my 2nd interaction ordering some smaller items from Vito in the last couple weeks.

He treated me with the same level of support on a 30 dollar order as he had with my previous order for 2 of his motors.

QS Motor is lucky to have such a representative as well as us here at endless-sphere.

Thanks for all the help and such a willingness to please the customer no matter what.

Hope you stay for a long time.
