Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but my EB-BUS cable is about 6-8 inches too long and I've had to wrap it around a few times and try to hide it.

Just been talking to a seller on Aliexpress and they will make custom cables as long as I buy 30 peices min (of course these will all be the same length as specified)

Would anyone else be interested in a shorter cable?

Also has anyone shortened their cable themselves? if so is there a post to it? could you write a post on the subject?

Cheers

Would be good to know how the plugs are called so that we can make are own cables!

Does anybody know?

Each bike is different and this way everbody could make his own cables.

Cheers

You mean the higo connectors?

Thank you! I was looking for that!

Here the links that I found:

But I didn't find a Shop where I can buy them ... does anybody know a store?

I just bought a replacement cable for mine so if anything goes wrong with my DIY shortening I`ve still got a useable cable- will post pics when i get around to doing it

Hi,
Here's a step by step tutorial how to build your own BUS cable:
http://e-bike-marke-eigenbau.de/index.php/de/einen-kabelbaum-nach-mass-anfertigt
OK, it's german language, but just look at the pics!
If you don't succeed in building your own, or you have fat fingers like me, you get customised cables of any lenght here:

I just cut, soldered and heatshrinked mine mine to the desired length. Pretty easy to do. With black heatshrink you can hardly tell it's been shortened. Just make sure you heatshrink the individual wires before covering the entire splice with another piece of heatshrink

Nice one, do you have any pics you can share?

good tutorial, I will surely be checking that out again when I do mine :D

Will have to take some close ups for you when I get back home, getting the cable length right is paramount for a clean looking install imo

hey thats a lovely hybrid with 203s...yea get some close ups :)

Apologies for the delay, been away from home. Here are some close ups of the shortened cable- it has a layer of heatshrink over the entire section. You can just see a bit of a bulge from other heatshrink protecting the individual wires. Also have some pics of the brakes
